Industrial machine operator desk lamp from legendary producer PeFeGe, Stockholm Sweden 1950s.

Description

This is the iconic Stockholm built industrial desk lamp known as PeFeGe. These amazingly versatile and durable lamps are made by E. G. Eriksson Mekaniska Verkstad AB in Södermalm, Stockholm. E. G. Eriksson was a very small lamp producer in the center of Stockholm that finally moved to the town of Tyresö.

The feel of this lamp is extraordinary. It locks, opens and moves like only hand made mechanical constructions can. This is a lamp that is made for use in heavy duty work shops and it can take a beating. It is a machine operator lamp that can only be beaten by maybe the French Jieldé or Swedish Triplex.

This particular one is a 1950s model out of the Stockholm shop and it has a great patina from many years of service. Scratches, minor dents and cracks in the paint as seen in the pictures but no faults to the mechanism. It locks, opens and stops in all desired positions and the wiring works perfect. I am not sure if the wiring is original or have been changed at some point.

Lenth of arm fullystreched out: 120 cm. Diameter of shade: 15 cm. Takes a standard E27 light bulb of any strength.
