Description

Height: 50 centimeters, Width: 35 centimeters, Depth: 35 centimeters

A magnificent large brass and glass ceiling light made from 16 pieces of thick glass attached with 32 brass screws to a brass octagon frame. Solid brass ceiling attachment with brass ceiling cup. Very soft and decorative shine. A truly stunning centre piece for a room. Wiktor Berndt made these lights in several sizes of which this is the largest. Amazing condition with no chips, scratches or damage to any of the glass prisms. No screws missing and everything well attached. Som slight time related staining of the brass occurs.

Wiktor Berndt joined Flygsfors glassworks in 1955 to design light fixtures and art glass, and he would become Flygsfors second most well known designer. Before he came to Flygsfors, he studied at Källströms and then in Murano, Italy. In 1956, when Paul Kedelv left the company, Wiktor became the chief designer, and he continued as the chief designer until he left in 1974.

Standard E 27 light bulb sockets. Rewired for safety.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
