Pair of brass and glass ceiling lights by Wiktor Berndt for Flygsfors. Sweden 1960s

Height: 47 centimeters, Width: 18 centimeters, Depth: 18 centimeters

A pair of brass and glass ceiling lights each made from 8 pieces of thick glass attached with brass screws to a brass frame. Solid brass ceiling attachment with brass ceiling cup. Very soft and decorative shine. Wiktor Berndt made these lights in several sizes and colors of glass. Good condition with no chips, scratches or damage to any of the glass prisms. No screws missing and everything well attached. The brass parts are unpolished and show typical brass patina. Should you prefer the brass shiny you can remove the glass pieces and polish.

Wiktor Berndt joined Flygsfors glassworks in 1955 to design light fixtures and art glass, and he would become Flygsfors second most well known designer. Before he came to Flygsfors, he studied at Källströms and then in Murano, Italy. In 1956, when Paul Kedelv left the company, Wiktor became the chief designer, and he continued as the chief designer until he left in 1974.

Standard E 27 light bulb sockets. Rewired for safety.
