Width: 30 centimeters, Height: 25 centimeters, Depth: 21 centimeters

Preben Dal’s legendary Symfoni pendant lamps designed for Danish lamp company HF Belysning, who launched the series to international acclaim in 1962, this example has a larger width-to-height ratio than the more commonly seen version. This is a smaller, fully white version (slightly towards very light grey) as opposed to the more common ones with a dark grey centre band.

The lights are constructed from metal sheets put together in an origami like pattern and has a completely different shape depending on the view angle. When lit every individual diamond shaped metal sheet lights up in a stunning way.

This is the smaller version of the pendant. The width of one flat side of the shade is 21 cm but the maximum diameter diagonally is 30 cm. The height is 25 cm.

Very good original condition but with a few minor marks in the paint as seen in the photos. Could quite easily be touched up but I prefer to sell the in original condition. Standard E27 light bulb socket. Only sold as a pair.

Preben Dal had a design studio together with architect Ole Bang in the period 1959 to 1976.

Hans Følsgaard Elektro was founded in 1922 by Hans Følsgaard. Følsgaard opened an electrical wholesale in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. After World War II in 1946, his son Povl Følsgaard began to import electric components. The companies most famous lamps are the Symfoni light Series, designed by Preben Dal in the early 60’s.
