The “Milieu” pendant light consists of a half globe with glossy outer coating and a matt white inside. The diffuser or glare protection mounted inside comes in a variation of colors. In this case an orange diffuser and a rare slightly pink copper outer finish. The white inside of the half globe ensures a neutral colored downwards light even with an orange glare protector. The light was produced in 3 different sizes this being the medium size.

Good condition with only a minimum of small scratches. No dents. Standard E27 socket.

Johannes (Jo) Hammerborg grew up right outside of Randers, in a regular middle-class family. He trained as a silversmith, participated in Denmark’s resistance and struggle for freedom in 1940-45 as a saboteur, studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and worked as a silversmith at Georg Jensen. In 1957, he was hired as a chief designer at the lamp manufacturer Fog & Mørup, where he worked until 1980.
