Pendant light “Penta” by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup. Denmark 1960s

Height: 20 Centimeters; Width: 40 Centimeters; Depth: 40 Centimeters

The Penta pendant light is more traditional in form and rounded in shape than most other Hammerborg designs of the period. The light is often mistaken for Poul Henningsen’s PH 4/3, which it does resemble – in number of shades and diameter – but the curvy shades of the Penta makes it stand out.

The large middle shade softly guides the emitted light downward and the curved inner shades provides an almost glare-free light. The open top creates beautiful circles of light onto to ceiling, thus providing good room illumination.

Produced in 1965 by Fog & Mørup in three different colors – red, blue and light gray.

This one is in the matte lead grey color and in good vintage condition. Some scratches on the shade as seen in the images but its straight and firm and free from dents. This is not a thin metal light as many from the period. This is heavy Fog & Mrøup construction that can take a beating.

Standard E27 light bulb socket.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
