Pendant light PH 4/3 by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen. Denmark 1970s

Sold Out

Width: 42 centimeters, Height: 20 centimeters, Depth: 42 centimeters

Classic light grey PH 4/3 from the 1970s. It has straight shades and is stable with its original rivets. Very good condition with hardly any signs of use at all.

The orange inside of the light gives a decorative warm glow and the matte light grey finish on the wide disc projects a neutral soft downwards light over a table. Orange central shade cap still present.

Poul Henningsen’s legendary design stems from his own, brilliant three-shade system from late 1920s. Poul Henningsen original design from this period was highly functional, some people might even call it ‘Industrial,’ targeted specifically towards young students.

Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen by the famous Danish actress Agnes Henningsen. He never graduated as an architect, but studied at The Technical School at Frederiksberg, Denmark from 1911-14, and then at Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914-17.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
