Description

Height: 30 centimeters, Width: 40 centimeters, Depth: 40 centimeters

The “Verona” pendant light was created by Sven Middelboe in the 1970s and produced by Danish quality manufacturer Nordisk Solar Compagni. It was originally used in public interiors but later spread to private houses as well. It was made in various sizes and colors. This is a 40 cm wide version with seven discs and white powder coating. The unique construction of the Verona hides the light bulb from all angles making if completely glare free. The inside of the most narrow disc/ring is grey in order to not give too strong of a projection in the centre and instead spread a wider more even light downwards with the upper layers.

Good condition with only minor scratches and some damage to the grey paint by the screws in the bottom as seen in one picture. This is only visible if you lift the shade and examine the underside.

Standard E 27 light bulb.

Danish lighting manufacturer Nordisk Solar Compagni was founded in 1919 by Jacob L. Jørgensen and Herluf Sørensen and is well known today on the vintage markets for its mid-century modern pendants and layered lighting designs.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
