Width: 35 centimeters, Height: 35 centimeters, Depth: 35 centimeters

Balett is a pendant light made from transparent sheets of PVC. It was designed by Lars Eiler Schiøler in 1974 and manufactured by the Danish plastic light pioneers Hoyrup Lighting. It was sold in several color combinations and this is an orange and white version.

Due to the quite fragile nature of these sheets quite few of them survived. This one is in good condition but with one broken off point on one of the sheets at the underside. The plastic has some slight discoloration and some smaller spots and marks as seen in the images.

Hoyrup Light was founded by Preben Johan Høyrup in the late 1940s.In the 60s and 70s, Hoyrup Light grew explosively, starting with the highly sculptural lamps made of plastic foil and as assembly sets with instructions for use, so that they could be easily sent to consumers. In total, Høyrup Light in its lifetime amounted to approx. 80 lamp models.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
