A large stoneware bowl from the legendary Swedish ceramic producer Rörstrand. The glaze is whats known as “hares fur” popularized from the 40s onwards by Friberg, Nylund and Stålhane among others. Very good condition with deep earth tones and semi matte surface.

Diameter 22 cm. Height 4 cm.

Carl-Harry Stålhane (1920-1990) was one of the most important ceramic artists and designers in Sweden during the 20th century. He worked for Rörstrand in 1939 to 1973 and for Designhuset between 1973 until his death in 1990. Stålhane was an innovator within ceramic art; he was indeed both trendy and versatile.

Rörstrand is the second oldest brand of ceramics in Europe and can be found in homes all across Sweden and Europe.
