Description

Height: 70 centimeters, Width: 33 centimeters, Depth: 33 centimeters

A tall (70 cm) table lamp made from Rose wood with a heavy brushed aluminum bottom. The shade is made from repurposed 1960s fabric with the “Kukka” pattern, the most successful creation of Finnish textile artist Marjatta Metsovaara. Metsovaara was one of the pioneers of the mid century Finnish school of textile prints.

The lamp base is designed by the brothers Uno and Östen Kristiansson for the legendary Swedish lamp manufacturer LUXUS. The lamp has the original plastic diffuser/shade holder from LUXUS as seen in the last image.

Some scratches on the aluminum foot and some mild signs of ware to the wooden base. The light has been rewired for safety with a new cable and light bulb socket. The lamp was originally equipped with a switch at the bottom of the socket which no longer exsits. This makes no cosmetic differens to the lamp.

The shade is professionally made around a new wire frame. The vintage fabric is in great condition with no stains and vibrant colors.

It takes a standard E27 light bulb.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
