Description

Width: 48 centimeters, Height: 30 centimeters, Depth: 48 centimeters

The Radius is a striking multi-layered pendant Danish art light designed by Erik Balslev for Fog & Mørup in the 1970s and awarded an iF product design award in 1977. The main layer and the elegantly tapered cap are painted in satin green, and an outline of the “Semi”, Fog & Mørup’s best-known lamp, can be seen in these two layers. The Semi-like profile is complemented by the three other layers, which are placed to catch and reflect the illumination to maximum effect and all of which are a slightly brighter green color.

This light is in stunning condition with hardly any signs of use. If you are interested in a pair I have one more identical available. Contact me for a good bundle price.

Standard E27 light bulb socket. Rewired with a new black textile cable.

Danish modern lighting manufacturing company Fog & Mørup was founded by Ansgar Fog (1880 to 1930) and Erik Mørup (1879-1972) in Aarhus, Denmark in 1904. After the war—especially in the 1960s and ’70s—Fog & Mørup’s international reputation reached new heights. In 1959, Johannes (Jo) Hammerborg(1920-1982) joined as head of design and introduced modernist design principles to the Fog & Mørup collections. Streamlined, sleek forms become the company’s signature aesthetic.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
