Description

Height: 22 centimeters, Width: 75 centimeters, Depth: 22 centimeters

Scandinavian style scissor wall lamp in dark stained pine wood with a new shade made from repurposed 1960s fabric. This print is called “Mexico” and was one of the many very successful creations of Finnish textile artist Marjatta Metsovaara. Metsovaara was one of the pioneers of the mid century Finnish school of textile patterns.

These so called scissor lamps in wood were very popular in Scandinavia during the 1960s. It stretches out to a full 75 cm and folds down to about 20. It is also adjustable sideways. The shade is 22 x 20 cm.

The scissor arm is made by Swedish manufacturer Ivars. Rewired with new light bulb socket. The shade is professionally mede around a new wire frame. The fabric is in great condition with no stains and vibrant colors.

It takes a standard E27 light bulb.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
