Description

Height: 40 centimeters, Width: 25 centimeters, Depth: 17 centimeters

“Corner” was a series of 2 different wall lights/sconces constructed specially to be mounted in the corner of a room. It is one of the more rare wall lights from Hans-Agne Jakobsson made in 1970s at the Jakobsson factory in Markaryd, Sweden. This is the one titeled V 362 and is the larger of the two with double light bulb sockets and a height fo 40 cm. Not common for a wall light.

It is constructed from bent strips of metal forming a symmetric base in white lacquer covered by a front piece in golden brushed aluminum. The light exits through the sides, top and bottom creating an intricate light and shadow pattern along the walls.

Good working condition with some minor scratches. The light takes 2 standard E27 light bulbs.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson was undeniably one of the world’s most versatile and productive lighting designers and manufacturers in the fifties, sixties and seventies. He was also one of the best and most important designers in the Scandinavian era of golden and soft non-dazzle light. His earlier designs follow Scandinavian giants such as Poul Henningsen, Paavo Tynell and Alvar Aalto and he should be seen as important as the concurrent world renowned Nordic lighting designers Greta Magnusson-Grossman, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Verner Panton and Jo Hammerborg.

I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
